Sleeping Birds

Amy paused on the stairs as she caught sight of her children. Bruce stood beside his wife, one step lower than her, and followed her gaze. From their view, Amy and Bruce could see all four of their sons asleep on the floor.

The petite brunette looked at her husband with soft eyes before she spoke, "I wonder what caused that to happen."

Amelia Wayne smiled as she watched Bruce study the lounge from his spot with a furrowed frown and intense stare. A giggle escaped her lips at her husband's face.

"They held a movie marathon during the night, Mrs. Wayne," a crisp English lilt commented.

Amy and Bruce looked down to see Alfred Pennyworth in the hallway. The Wayne Butler held a feather duster in on hand and rag in his pocket.

"I'm not going to ask what they were watching," she muttered as she passed her husband to move down the stairs.

In the entrance of the family room, she pulled out her cell phone and took a few pictures. It was rare that the boys spent time like this together. She enjoyed moments like the one in front of her.

Bruce wrapped an arm around Amy's waist as they watched the sleeping boys. All cuddled together in a cute pile. Amy smiled at the sight of her robins.
