Feline Games

Artemis sighed as she looked down at the page in front of her, the page written in her mother's familiar elegant script. She hadn't realized that she was in possession of her mother's grimoire. With a sigh, the female witch closed the book with a hard a slam.

She placed the book on the small end table, before she got up from the couch and started to make herself a warm cup of tea. A meow caught her attention, after she had placed the kettle on the stove. Artemis turned to see Isis and Cerberus on the counter. She smiled at her two familiars, "Hello you two. What are you up to?"

Cerberus mewled as she swatted at Artemis' hand, that had been petting the black cat behind the ears.

With a laugh and shake of her head, Artemis removed her hand from Cerberus to give Isis some attention. She knew to give them both an equal amount of affection, or there would be trouble. She played with them, as she waited for her water to begin a soft boil for her tea.

Tears (TEC)

Ella hesitated in the doorway, the curtains softly swayed in the cold breeze. A worried frown marred her face as she studied the man before her. Adam Rosewood, braced his arms against the railing of the balcony, his head drooped.

The princess sighed as she looked at her body guard and friend. With a deep breathe, Ella joined him on the balcony, she stood beside him and hesitantly  placed a hand on his shoulder. "I am so sorry, Adam," she whispered as she looked him.

Adam turned and met Ella's golden brown gaze. Ella could see his eyes were red and swollen from the tears that he had shed earlier. With a small step, the Princess wrapped her arms around her bodyguard and cradled his head against her shoulder. He shook with heart breaking sobs, Ella hurt with Adam. She could understand his pain, even though she hadn't lost a parent.

She stayed silent but held her friend, as he cried for the loss of his father. Sometimes, that was all she could do, simply be there for a friend in his time of need.

A/N: I wanted to do more with The Eleanor Chronicles for awhile, but until recently I had been stuck. This was just an idea that randomly came about. Hopefully I'll have more pieces like this in the coming weeks.

Familiars

Artemis smiled as she saw her two familiars fast asleep on the couch. Cerberus and Isis were curled up into little balls, with the white kitten on top of the black adult cat. Her two felines, had spent the morning playing with each other and Zane Evermoon. He had come over to help her with the soulmate potion, despite not being a witch or warlock. She had gratefully accepted the help, it had been nice to spend time with the Evermoon Alpha.

Midnight Flights

Kate watched from the ground as two shadows flew across the moon. The Rider smiled as she felt Avis' excitement, her dragon's song reached her ears. Kate's laughter echoed up to the two dragons and rider in the sky. The wind gently blew, a few of Kate's wavy strands ended up in her eyes. She brushed her hair back as she kept her eyes on her dragon, who shimmered a golden lilac. Nox, was easily concealed by the night sky; even with a full moon, Kate couldn't see him at all. 

'We'll be landing soon, Kate,' Avis informed her Rider.

Kate watched as Avis began her approach. Her dragon, lowered herself similar to a bird landing on its perch. Kate took off to join Avis, as she reached her companion, the ground shook slightly. Kate braced herself against Avis, as she looked at Nox.

"Thank you for taking her out, Nox. Avis was beginning to get restless," Kate gratefully told the large blue and grey dragon.

'You're welcome, Kate,' his voice rumbled in her mind as brown eyes met gold.

Birthday News

Hey everyone, I'm back. I know I've been gone a few times this year. I'll explain more in depth in a later post. My recent absence was a weird one, so on July 28th, my computer died. Just up and random died, it wouldn't charge or turn on. I have accepted that I tend to have a three year period with computers because my previous computer had a hard drive, crash. I'm just that kind of person with laptops, I guess. Anyway, I had to find another computer but I don't have the funds to afford one, nor does anyone else in my family. I'm currently using my dad's computer, but I've had to make some changes and adjustments for it to suit my needs.

This was all going on between July 28th-July 30th. Then on August 1st, I had to take my dad to the E.R., he was feverish and having chills. Mind you that during this time were in a 90 degree Fahrenheit heat wave, no way was it the weather. So, it turned out that my dad had a toe infection. He had to have it amputated, this is his second toe, so we knew the drill. He's fine now, he came on August 5th, but I've been busy taking him to doctor appointments that I have had to back burner a few things. This included my blog. He is recovering well, and I will be back to regular posting on Monday.

Today, is also my 23rd birthday. It hasn't sunk in yet, but I last year I said the same thing. So, Happy Birthday to me.
